Customer Brand Launch FAQs
Why is our name changing?
With nearly 40 years of service under our belt, Citizens National Bank has become synonymous with trust and strength. We now believe it’s time for our brand to fully reflect the one-of-a-kind spirit of our people, businesses, and the vibrant communities we serve. The Bonvenu name acts as a warm welcome to join us as we continue building a bolder future for each other and for Louisiana.
Why now?
We believe it’s time to establish a more meaningful brand that will help us stay ahead of your needs and connect with our communities in relevant ways. We are rebranding now to better serve people and businesses throughout Louisiana and beyond.
What does our new name ‘Bonvenu’ mean?
Inspired by our Louisiana roots, the name Bonvenu is a modern mashup of ‘bon’ (the French word for good) and ‘bienvenue’ (the French phrase for welcome.) It’s an invitation to neighbors, friends, families, and businesses to experience a different, more personal and purposeful kind of banking.
What is the new tagline, and what does it mean to us?
Built to be here. It’s as simple as that. Bonvenu was born and built to be here as both your neighbors and your trusted partners. We share your values, celebrate your traditions, and are as deeply committed to the places we call work and home as you are. We want to see you thrive.
Where will I see this refreshed brand show up?
All of our current branding will be updated, starting with our website, social channels, advertising, and printed materials. Soon our branch signage and in-branch experiences will be transformed, as well.
How will this affect me as a customer?
Our new brand will not affect your account information, the processes you follow or the level of service you receive. Hopefully, it will make you even prouder to call us your partner.
Is the bank being sold or acquired?
Absolutely not. We’re the same people, now with a more focused vision for the future. In fact, the rebrand is a reinforcement of our commitment to you and the communities we serve. We have no plans of slowing down or changing ownership.
Will these changes impact the digital or in-person services I use?
No, all business will continue as usual. Our online banking and mobile apps will feature new Bonvenu branding, but the functionality and layout will remain the same
Will my debit and credit cards still work?
They sure will. These cards will only be replaced once they expire. At that time, a new Bonvenu card will be mailed to you, just as is done currently.
Will I still be able to use my existing checks?
Yes, you may continue to use your existing checks until your current supply runs out. Then you will order new Bonvenu checks the same way you do now.
Will my account number(s) and loans remain the same?
Yes, all your account details will remain the same. The only things changing are our name and look.
What if I have more questions?
Please reach out to us. We are excited to answer all of your questions relating to our new name, along with any other question you may have about our great products and services. You may send us a message via our website, call us at 888-861-0515 or better yet, swing by any of our branches.
